I haven’t posted here in a while, been busy with a lot of things. I have a few posts lined up that I really want to cover, including the launching of my SEO Competition Analysis Tool, serpIQ. I’ll cover that tool in detail in the future (hopefully this weekend).
I also have another side project in mind that I plan to document and announce here when I get time to build it. Unfortunately, time is hard to come by so currently I cannot discuss much about that one.
I’ve tossed around ideas for different blog posts but ultimately, I decided to defer to you guys. I would imagine a lot of you know me from Wickedfire so you know I’m into coding, automation, and SEO. What I want to know is, what do you want me to blog about? Are there certain topics you want me to cover? Stuff you want explained?
One idea I have that I do plan on executing on this summer is to finish my “Niche Product Site” series so that it covers all the basics of doing research, setting up your site, writing content, targeting keywords, building links, and making money from your sites. I think that series can be helpful for people, especially those new to the game.
But that’s only a handful of posts. I want to start pumping out long, high quality articles about stuff, but I need you guys to help me out and tell me what you think I should write about. So if you can, please leave some comments and let me know what you guys want to see!
Found the recent data you released from Serp IQ regarding page length and keyword density really interesting so perhaps a post with something similar and your thoughts on this.
As you obviously have a lot of experience with competitive analysis, how about a post in this area?
Cheers
I plan on developing some guides and infographics regarding the data that has emerged from running serpIQ for a few months now, so I like that others are interested as well
In terms of competitive analysis, do you want posts in the context of how to use serpIQ to analyze competition or more general competition analysis strategies?
Well personally, I’d be interested to see how others do competitive analysis and how they weight the importance of various metrics against one another.
As the owner of a service, it’s obviously good if you can talk about something that relates to that to raise awareness, so I thought it might be a good match.
Personally, I’m not using serpIQ at the moment so perhaps something to make people like me determine how it can save me time compared to manual research and the other tools out there?
Sounds good man, I like it. I’ll start planning for that.
I’m basically going to try and move forward with post writing every day, and will publish them when they get completed. So shooting at first for one a week, but then hopefully will ramp it up as time allows.
This probably isn’t the venue but I would love to see a series of posts on scraping. Not initially technical but the overall concept with examples of what can be gathered and how it can be used. Sort of a “Why Scrape?” showing real world application to internet marketing.
it seems you are sound at SEO from your WF posts. So I would love to read your blog for SEO case studies.
I’m with Jon, I think a post on competitive analysis, either within the context of SERPIQ or outside of it would be really interesting.
How to deconstruct a competitors link profile, all that sort of stuff.
word, I’ll plan for that. Never enough time in the day!
Finish the “Niche Product Sites Guide” ?
I’m planning on it, I have about 6 posts that are about 75% done that I hope to start posting over the next week. After that, I’ll start attacking the niche site again. Everything will be in the context of using serpIQ so it should be an interesting guide to research and development of micro-sites.
In one of the post on WF you mentioned combining SEO and PPC for gaining traffic. It looks risky to me but I would like to try. If you could cover the topic one day it would be great.
